Hi,
I decided to document my 2012 resolution.
According to studies there are several steps one can take to improve a person's chances of fulfilling a new years resolution. Two of the are :
Make it Known - this creates accountability.
Keeping a Record - this helps you see the progress you've made and thus less likely to call it quits.
So why Japanese?
I find several genres of Japanese culture, history and media to be very interesting, unique, and/or entertaining.
This has been the case for close to a decade now, so I figured its about time I learned the language.
What to expect?
Like I mentioned in my profile, I've had a bad record when it comes to learning something as intense as a whole new language. I don't have the best of memories. So anticipate small steps. lots of them. I will from time to time post videos and rants about somethings I think are neat.
Probable steps:
- memorize Hiragana and Katakana (along with some vocab to help remember characters)
- learn some useful vocab and grammar rules.
- memorize Kanji, more vocab, and more grammar rules
So I hope you'll join me. Its going to be tough.
